Where Promised Land
Began

From a Spirit-led vision in 1992 to a thriving discipleship center with national reach — this is the story of God's faithfulness through Promised Land CDC.

Birthed from
Vision and Faith

The Promised Land Christian Discipleship Center was established in 1992 in Spartanburg, South Carolina, under the apostolic leadership of Apostle Tommy E. Quick. Originally planted as the Spartanburg Christian Discipleship Center, the church was a direct response to the Holy Spirit's call to build a community centered on true discipleship — not just Sunday attendance, but whole-life transformation in Christ.

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit."

Matthew 28:19 · ESV

Over the decades, the church grew into a full-expression community of faith — reaching families, training disciples, and pioneering outreach that extended far beyond Spartanburg. As the congregation deepened its commitment to family ministry, the vision for Christian Families Against Destructive Decisions (CFADD) was formally birthed and the church became its flagship home congregation.

Apostle Tommy E. Quick has given more than 49 years to pastoral ministry — pioneering three churches, leading a national family organization, and walking in a covenant marriage of over 40 years with Lady Valerie Quick. Together they have raised five children and have been blessed with 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

His personal testimony of complete restoration — from a broken life to a rebuilt marriage and family — is not just a sermon illustration. It is the lived proof of the very gospel he preaches. Apostle Quick carries a prophetic and apostolic mandate to see families healed and the Body of Christ equipped for kingdom impact.
