Without a visionary, there is no vision...

First Lady Valerie H. Quick is an evangelist, a registered nurse and with the release of her first novel, The Blood Factor, a published author. Born and raised in the small town of Plymouth, North Carolina, with her parents and four siblings, Valerie gave her life to the Lord at the age of thirteen.

After obtaining her B.S. Science degree from East Carolina University in 1980, she settled down in Eastern North Carolina. Five short years later, she met & married the love of her life and God's choice for her, Apostle Tommy E. Quick, her husband of 32 years. In the early years of their marriage, Valerie & Apostle Quick lived in Rockingham, North Carolina, where with fervent prayer and intercession, she helped raise two stepchildren and bore three children of her own. In 1992, the couple later moved to Spartanburg, South Carolina with their three small children to start a ministry, Spartanburg Christian Discipleship Center.
 
As her husband serves as the Senior Pastor & Founder of the Promised Land, Valerie serves faithfully by his side as the Administrator of Legacy Christian School, Promised Land's premier Christian school, Directress of the Women's Ministry and as the church's resident faith-based nurse. As a nurse, she proudly displays her faith & belief in God and His son through her caliber of care for each of her patients and promotes health and wellness in her circle of influence.

First Lady Valerie Quick is the proud mother of five productive, sober and spiritually-guided adult children, grandmother of eleven and great-grandmother of four. Her endeavor in her role as a pastor's wife, mother and grandmother, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, neighbor and friend is to live out a God-first lifestyle.
